How InsuranceCare Works

How InsuranceCare Works

We think it's important that you know exactly what happens after you submit an enquiry on this site — not just in a privacy policy, but in plain language. Here's the process, step by step.

1. You read our guides

Our articles explain the different types of commercial vehicle insurance so you can get a clearer sense of what you might need before speaking to anyone — for example, understanding whether your work counts as "hire and reward," or how many vehicles typically make sense for a mini-fleet policy.

2. You choose to submit an enquiry

If you'd like to be contacted about your options, you can fill in a short enquiry form. We deliberately keep this form minimal — we ask for things like your name, business name, contact details, postcode, the type of vehicle and how it's used, and how many vehicles you need covered. We don't ask about your claims history, driving convictions, or health at this stage — those are conversations for the broker or insurer once they're in touch, not something we collect or process.

3. You give explicit consent

Before anything is shared, you'll see clearly who your enquiry may be passed to and what for. Submitting the form means you're asking us to pass your details to an FCA-authorised broker or insurer on our panel so they can contact you about your enquiry. You can read the full detail in our Privacy Notice.

4. We pass your enquiry to an FCA-authorised partner

We route your enquiry — based on the type of cover and vehicle information you've given us — to a broker or insurer on our panel who specialises in that area. We don't filter, question, or advise on your options ourselves at this stage; we simply pass along the information you've provided.

5. The broker or insurer takes it from there

The FCA-authorised firm you're matched with will contact you directly to discuss your situation, answer your questions, and provide a quotation if appropriate. Any advice, recommendation, or policy sale happens with them — not with us. They are regulated to do this; we are not, and we don't try to be.

What We Never Do

  • We never recommend a specific insurer or broker as "the best" for your situation
  • We never fill in application or proposal forms on your behalf
  • We never negotiate premiums, terms, or exclusions
  • We never represent ourselves as a broker, adviser, or insurer

If any of that sounds like something you'd expect from an insurance website, it's a good sign you're thinking about the right question — and the honest answer is that it's not something we're authorised, or willing, to do. That's a deliberate choice, not an oversight.

Questions About the Process

If you're unsure what happens with your specific enquiry, our Privacy Notice covers the data side in full, and you're welcome to contact us directly with any question before submitting a form.
